The Sims youtube channel just released a new official trailer showing details of the new Detective career. Looks awesome! I love the finger printing machine and the good-cop/bad-cop routine. I can’t wait to get the Get to Work expansion!
Working Tip Jar
First of all, I need to sing the praises of Ani’s Tax Collector mod! I use this mod aaaaaaaaaaaaall the time and it’s absolute genius! I have lots of cloned items that use the object code of her useful donation box script, and this is one of them! It’s a simple clone of the tip jar used by musicians, only I made it so that it can be used on its own and placed on more surfaces. It points to Ani’s donation box code so it has lots of options: you can set the name of the tip jar (here it is named after my Crumpleton Park Tea Rooms) and set the owner. This is a super useful object if you play rotationally! Sims visiting Belinda’s business can actually leave her a tip! You can choose the exact amount your sim will leave as a tip too! I’m afraid I don’t know how to change the text, so a little imagination is required: sims can give a tip (‘make a donation’) collect or even steal tips (‘make a withdrawal’)!
Sims even get a nice little moodlet for being so generous!
Important!!! First, you need to have Ani’s Tax Collector mod installed.
Simply unzip the file and pop it into your normal mods folder. It should not conflict with anything as it is a cloned object, it just adopts Ani’s code. ^.^
I’m so excited about Get to Work! It looks like a combination of Open for Business and Ambitions! There are 3 new active careers: scientists; doctors and police! Also, we get to run businesses again! It is already available to pre-order on Origin, and it will be available both as a download or as a physical copy. Some stores are already taking pre-orders including GAME UK. It is due to be released in April 2015!
